Ghana international set to finalise three-year deal

Cologne midfielder Derek Boateng claims to have agreed a three-year deal with Spanish side Getafe. The 26-year-old is yet to finalise the deal but has travelled to Spain and is set to have a medical with the La Liga club on Monday before being presented as a Getafe player. The Madrid-based outfit are thought to have agreed a fee of 1million euros for the Ghana international. "I am delighted with the move and I will give it my best shot," Boateng told skysports.com. "I have not signed yet, there are still some small details that need to be sorted, but everything will be fine." Getafe are looking to boost their squad after narrowly avoiding relegation from La Liga last season. Boateng only joined Cologne in January on a four-year deal but is eager to test himself in one of Europe's biggest leagues having previously played in Greece, Israel and Sweden.
