Beckford scores last gasp winner to beat Norwich 2-1

A last gasp Jermaine Beckford strike earned Leeds all three points against an impressive Norwich City at Elland Road on Monday. The Whites moved back to the top of the League One table with the three points after the 2-1 win, but it was not all plain sailing for Simon Grayson's men. The hosts took the lead on 15 minutes when Bradley Johnson rose highest to head home a Robert Snodgrass corner against the run of play. If Norwich felt hard done by they were soon level when Grant Holt slid in to connect with a Darel Russell cross from the right at the back post seven minutes before the break. But just when the game looked to be heading for a draw Fraser Forster, who had earlier saved brilliantly to deny Beckford, messed up his goal-kick allowing the Leeds man to run through on goal. The striker appeared to hit the ground before connecting with the ball but it was enough to win the game for Leeds.
