Intercontinental champion Rey Mysterio has been suspended for 30 days after falling foul of the WWE's wellness programme.
The diminutive grappler tested positive for a banned substance under the company's policy aimed at protecting the welfare of wrestlers amidst a number of high profile deaths.
A statement from the WWE read: "In accordance with WWE's wellness programme, effective Wednesday, September 2, Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio) is suspended for 30 days for a violation of the company's policy."
Mysterio has therefore been ruled out of taking part in the next big event on the wrestling calendar - WWE Breaking Point, which takes place on the night of Sunday September 13 live on Sky Sports 2 and HD2.
