Damian Lillard beat the third-quarter buzzer with a spectacular step-back three-pointer en route to 29 points as the Portland Trail Blazers took a 2-0 lead in their first-round playoff series with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Lillard carried his sparkling shooting form from Game 1 into the second game of the series, pouring in 29 points on 10-of-21 shooting as the Blazers rolled to a resounding 114-94 victory at the Moda Center that doubled their series lead.
Portland's All-Star guard added six assists, four rebounds, three steals and two blocks as well as draining four of his eight three-point attempts.
Lillard's fourth triple provided his highlight play of the night.
With 10.5 seconds remaining in the third period, Lillard took an inbounds pass in his own half and brought the ball upcourt, forcing Thunder defender Raymond Felton to backpedal into his own half.
As Lillard approached the three-point line, he executed a smooth crossover dribble and stepped back to create space before lofting a three-pointer over the outstretched arms of the flummoxed Felton. The shot swished through the Thunder net as the buzzer sounded, giving the Blazers a 91-75 advantage the would extend in the fourth quarter.
