Albus NoX Luna were the surprise package at the first weekend of the League Of Legends World Championship.
The group phase takes place over two weekends, with the remaining matches to be played on the weekend beginning Friday 7 October.
The tournament is an annual tournament for League Of Legends, with earlier regional leagues deciding which teams qualify for the latter stages.
Already it's been an exciting competition, though many are discussing the glitch that was encountered during a game that lead to one of the game's characters being banned from Day 2 and Day 3 of the tournament.
Aurelion Sol, the character in question, displayed a visual bug that meant the opposing player - Team SoloMid's Bjergsen - could not see the distinctive stars that orbited the character.
This meant that Bjergsen was certain that Royal Never Give Up's player Xiaohu had moved away when he had, in fact, remained hiding out of sight.
Aurelion Sol remained banned for Day 2 and Day 3 until, on the fourth and final day of the weekend, Riot Games had managed to isolate and resolve the issue.
In terms of the results of the games so far, Europe has not fared especially well in the competition.
Cumulatively European teams only managed to win one of their nine games, with UK-based Splyce even failing to win a single game out of the three it had played.
It was only H2K Gaming who had managed to win a match when it defeated Brazilian team INTZ e-Sports, which was actually a confident victory for H2K ending the game in 30 minutes with 12 kills to INTZ's singular kill.
Then there is Albus NoX Luna (or ANX), a team that managed to surprise many after a pair of significant victories against two of League Of Legends strongest teams.
ANX entered Worlds as a Wildcard, a qualifying event that allows for a pair of teams that had not participated in the earlier regional tournaments to enter the World Championships.
ANX managed to defeat American team Counter Logic Gaming and European team G2 eSports, both of whom are strong sides and definite contenders for first-place at Worlds.
This has given ANX a huge confidence boost and, though it lost its first game against ROX Tigers, many will be eagerly watching this team to see how it performs in the remaining group stage.
With another packed weekend of games yet to be played, there is still a lot to play for in many of the four groups.
Both Group A and D have not two but three tied in first place position at the moment, with ROX Tigers, Albus NoX Luna and Counter Logic Gaming tied in Group A and Royal Never Give Up, Samsung Galaxy and Team SoloMid tying in Group D.
In Group B SK Telecom T1 and Cloud9 are tied with 2-1, while Group C has Edward Gaming and ahq e-Sports Club also tying.
The upcoming weekend of League Of Legends' World Championship will no doubt lead to some intense matches as these 16 teams battle it out to find out who will make it to the quarter-final knockout stage.
