Bears appoint former Sale boss as Nerush's replacement

Russia have named former Sale Sharks director of rugby Kingsley Jones as their new head coach. The 42-year-old joined the Russian backroom staff as a technical advisor following Steve Diamond's switch to the Sharks. However Jones has now taken over the reins as head coach following the departure of Nikolay Nerush, who resigned after the team's debut at this year's World Cup in New Zealand where they lost all four of their group matches. "Kingsley will be our head coach for the next four years until the 2015 World Cup," said Russian Rugby Union chief Vyacheslav Kopyev. The RRU have also confirmed that dual-code international Henry Paul will become head coach of the Sevens side. The 37-year-old Kiwi previously worked as backs coach of the Bears under Nerush.
