England's David Haye will make the first defence of his WBA heavyweight title in Manchester on Saturday night against John Ruiz, live on Sky Box Office. The Londoner believes it's his destiny to become the unified champion but first he must take out the American-based Puerto Rican, who is a two-time WBA champion himself. The 38-year-old has been involved in more than a dozen world title fights, including twice against Nicolai Valuev, whom Haye defeated to take the strap. Ruiz lost on narrow, and controversial, decisions both times, and his style has made it difficult for his opponents to look good against him. But the 'Quiet Man' insists he is in the best shape of his life heading into the fight, and has come to England with every intention to take the belt home for a third time. However, Haye says a knockout victory is on the cards as he looks to impress a worldwide audience. Can Haye become only the second fighter to knock out Ruiz in his long career? Or is this going to be the longest night so far for Haye. Let us know your thoughts by filling in the box below..
