Chris Eubank Jr may have been "on holiday" but that hasn't stopped him working with legendary trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr.

Having missed out on a lucrative clash with middleweight king Gennady Golovkin, the 26-year-old Eubank Jr (23-1-KO18) is set to make a second defence of his British title against Tommy Langford (17-0-KO6).

With the boxing season yet to officially get underway, Eubank Jr has confirmed he never truly takes time off and during a recent stay in Las Vegas, he worked with Floyd Mayweather's former trainer and father, Floyd Mayweather Sr.

He told World Boxing News: "Although I wanted a holiday, it's important for me to not get out of the rhythm of training. This is no ordinary nine to five day job and I have a 24/7 in terms of my boxing and my career as a professional sportsman.

"We don't take breaks and I wanted to go somewhere where I could still train. Vegas is a wonderful place and there are a lot of things going on over there, it's a great place to have some fun, but it is also one of the best places in the world to train and to box.

"The linkup with Floyd Sr is nothing new and I've trained with him on and off for many years now. It's always a good experience with him.

"After talking to him, I went out there and we set up a little training camp for the length of my holiday. I trained every day for 10-12 days and you learn a lot out there. I don't see a holiday as a time to break from boxing - it never stops."
