Briton to make third title defence against dangerous Argentine

Amir Khan and Marcos Maidana have reportedly agreed to a fight in Las Vegas on December 11. The WBA light-welterweight champion has apparently told his Twitter followers that the pair have finally agreed terms after weeks of rumours on the internet. Khan has avoided big-punching opponents since he was sensationally knocked out by Breidis Prescott two years ago. And many felt the Briton was ducking the mandatory challenger, who has claimed 27 of his 29 wins by stoppage. Despite the 23-year-old wanting to bring the fight to England, he has apparently made the concession to take on the Argentine in Las Vegas in order to get it signed. Khan has not fought since May, when he dominated Paulie Malignaggi before the fight was stopped in the 11th round.
