Indian Premier League franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad have signed England batsman Alex Hales as a replacement for David Warner.
Warner, who was due to captain the Sunrisers, resigned from the role in the wake of the Australia ball-tampering scandal and has since been banned from participating in this year's tournament by the BCCI.
That has seen Hales, who was unable to secure a deal in January's auction, drafted in for his second IPL stint, although he is yet to make his debut in the competition.
The England opener signed a white-ball only contract with Nottinghamshire in February but will now miss at least two Royal London One-Day Cup games for the Outlaws to play in India.
"I'm excited to be given this opportunity by the Sunrisers to play in arguably the biggest domestic tournament in the world," Hales told the Nottinghamshire CCC website.
"I wish to thank Notts for their support. While it's disappointing to miss matches for Outlaws, when I return to England I will be match hardened and ready to give my all to their cause."
The IPL begins on April 7 and Hales could make his Sunrisers debut on April 9 against Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler's Rajasthan Royals.
You can watch every game from this year's IPL live on Sky Sports Cricket.
