England all-rounder Ben Stokes will make his return from injury in Durham's Vitality Blast opener next Thursday (July 5).

The Jets will kick off their Blast campaign against Yorkshire at Headingley.

Stokes will play only as a batsman, as he recovers full fitness following the hamstring tear he suffered ahead of the second Test against Pakistan.

And if he comes through the comeback match successfully, he will be available for England's third T20 against India in Bristol on Sunday, July 8.
