Great Britain took silver in the women's team pursuit at the 2017 European Track Championships in Berlin on Thursday night.

Katie Archibald and Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year nominee Elinor Barker teamed up with Emily Kay and Manon Lloyd for the event. And the quartet came home second behind Italy in the final after beating Germany in round one.

"This is the starting point of the track season and to come second to Italy - they did a really good time of 4:17 and we still did a pretty good time so we're happy," Lloyd said.

"We've got a lot to work on in the coming weeks."
