There was almost disaster on stage 11 of the Tour de France, when France's Warren Barguil narrowly avoided crashing into a herd of cows.
The Giant-Alpecin rider, who was descending off the Col du Tourmalet at a speed of around 90kmh, had to take evasive action after a herd started crossing the road.
Fortunately, the 23-year-old spotted the hazard early and managed to swerve out of the way, and the cows were off the road by the time the next riders came by. They did, however, hold up one of the team cars.
The incident brought back memories of the 2013 Criterium du Dauphine, when cows wandered into the peloton and caused a crash.
