Young New Zealander has his wings clipped by Red Bull

Brendon Hartley insists he's not letting go of his Formula One dream despite being dropped from Red Bull's Junior programme. Earlier this week, Red Bull confirmed that Jean Eric Vergne would replace Hartley with immediate effect in the Formula Renault 3.5 series team Tech 1. The statement added: "The move comes following Red Bull Junior Team's decision to release Brendon Hartley after four seasons with the programme." Hartley has also been dropped from his test and reserve driver duties by Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso but is adamant he will still "fight" his way into F1. "The F1 dream is still there and I'm going to fight for it," 20-year-old New Zealander told Autosport magazine. "Perhaps this is a wake-up. "The last year hasn't gone well, so a change of environment could be good for me."
