Derby day at the Crown Ground as Stanley entertain the Shakers

Accrington Stanley will be hoping to keep their winning run going when they host local rivals Bury. Stanley have taken maximum points from each of their last four League Two outings and are now within touching distance of the play-off places. The Shakers have been in impressive form themselves, losing only two of their last 14, and they are also well-placed in the promotion-chasing pack.

Accrington team news

Winger Chris Turner could be set to return for Accrington on Monday. The 19-year-old has missed the last 14 matches with ankle ligament damage sustained in October. He was not involved in Saturday's win against Morecambe despite being in contention and will be pushing for a place in John Coleman's squad. Jimmy Ryan has been performing admirably for Stanley in Turner's absence, though, so if Turner is involved it will most likely be as a substitute. Defender Leam Richardson, who is yet to play for Accrington this season, remains sidelined with a groin injury. However, the game itself still remains in some doubt, with snow still covering the pitch and terraces and Stanley have requested fans to help clear the ground on Sunday. There is set to be a pitch inspection at 11am to determine whether or not the fixture can go ahead.
Bury team news
Ryan Lowe is likely to start for Bury as they prepare to play their first game in over a fortnight at the Crown Ground. The Shakers have seen their last two scheduled fixtures, at home to Macclesfield and Bradford, fall victim to the weather and will be keen to see a third go the same way. Should the game go ahead, Lowe is set to partner Andy Morrell in attack after on-loan forward Daniel Nardiello returned to parent club Blackpool. Ryan Cresswell remains around a week away from returning to action following his ankle ligament injury. Andy Bishop will also miss out once again, while fellow forward Tom Elliott does not return to the club on loan until 1st January. Danny Carlton is a long-term absentee for Alan Knill's side. The former Morecambe forward is recovering from a serious Achilles injury but could be back in action by the end of January.
