Grant boost for Shots; Mariners to hand debuts to trio

Aldershot are boosted by the return of John Grant for the visit of Grimsby, who are likely to include three new signings in their starting XI. Striker Grant - who has scored three goals in his last three appearances - missed the midweek defeat at Accrington Stanley with a toe injury but comes back into the reckoning for manager Kevin Dillon. Midfielder John Halls remains sidelined with a groin injury which has stopped him from featuring in 2010 but Dillon has no other concerns as he looks for a return to winning ways. Tuesday night's defeat was just the second suffered by Dillon in the league since he replaced Gary Waddock in November and the Shots remain in the hunt for the play-offs. Scott Donnelly, Kirk Hudson and Louie Soares are all pushing for recalls after being demoted to the bench at Accrington.

Mariners news

Grimsby are boosted by the signings of Lee Peacock, Dean Sinclair and Tommy Wright for the trip south. Injury-hit striker Peacock, 33, has signed on a deal until the end of next season. Midfielder Sinclair, who had a loan spell with the Mariners last season, has rejoined on loan from Charlton for the remainder of the campaign. Wright has signed an 18-month deal after the striker's contract at Aberdeen was terminated by mutual consent this week. Meanwhile, Paris Cowan-Hall has joined the club from Portsmouth for the rest of the season. The 19-year-old striker was recently signed on a one-month loan but returned to the Premier League club after contracting glandular fever. Full-back Robbie Stockdale (hernia) and striker Adrian Forbes (leg fracture) remain the only injury absentees.
