Hosts rescued by double strike in final minutes

Two goals in the final four minutes rescued a point for Aldershot Town in a thrilling 2-2 draw with Hereford United. Gary Waddock's Aldershot dramatically came back from a deficit of two goals scored by new Hereford loan signing Tristan Plummer. Aldershot started well but their early promise was soon snuffed out when the referee awarded a penalty after four minutes for hand ball. Plummer hit the resulting spot-kick in the bottom left hand corner, his third goal in five matches since arriving on loan from Bristol City. Plummer extended the lead on 78 minutes when he outpaced Dave Winfield on the left and slotted the ball past Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz into the far corner of the net. Aldershot responded when Scott Donnelly tested keeper Adam Bartlett with a fine curling strike. Donnelly's efforts were rewarded on 86 minutes when he flicked into the path of substitute Danny Hylton who headed home at the far post. A minute later, Marvin Morgan levelled when he latched onto a through ball from Hylton and fired low into the net. Aldershot also had two late attempts on goal; one went just wide by Morgan and the other - a half volley by John Grant - was saved by Bartlett as the match ended in a draw.
