    Blackpool winger Joe Dodoo is doubtful to face Barnsley after suffering a twisted ankle in the midweek FA Cup win over Solihull Moors.

    Dodoo scored in the 3-2 win but did not make it to the final whistle as he was carried off after falling awkwardly. Max Clayton is closing in on a return from a hamstring injury but Saturday's match will come too soon. Striker Mark Cullen remains out for the long term with a fracture in his leg.

    Barnsley are hopeful Kenny Dougall will return to action over Christmas but Saturday's game at Bloomfield Road will come too soon. Midfielder Dougall is back in training following ankle ligament damage which has kept him out since October 23.

    Dani Pinillos (illness) and Ryan Hedges (toe) are also nearing a return. Barnsley are looking for a first league win in five to reinvigorate their play-off push.
