      Brentford end Dagenham's unbeaten run

Brentford ended high-flying Dagenham's unbeaten start to the season with a 2-1 win at Griffin Park. First-half goals from Nathan Elder and Charlie Macdonald put the Bees in the driving seat against John Still's men. Elder edged the Bees ahead after 24 minutes, glancing home Marcus Bean's near-post cross. And Macdonald stretched the advantage 10 minutes before the break when he latched onto Glenn Poole's through-ball to toe-poke home under the keeper in a three-pass counter-attack. But the Daggers hit back shortly after the break when Sam Saunders hit the goal of the game, driving home a low shot from just outside the box. The visitors looked stronger after the interval and a thrilling finale was provided when Brentford substitute Kevin O'Connor was sent off just moments after coming on. But Brentford held on to take the points and ensure their unbeaten home run continues.
