Image: Ifil: Will continue in Rovers defence

Team news ahead of Tuesday night's League One clash between Bristol Rovers and Colchester at the Memorial Stadium.

Dave Penney is set to name an unchanged squad. Centre-back Jerel Ifil will continue in defence after making his debut during Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Brentford but fellow defender Dave McCracken will again miss out with a hamstring problem. Byron Anthony will also miss out as he continues to struggle with an ankle injury picked up in training last week. Midfielders Ben Swallow (ankle) and Wayne Brown also picked up knocks in training and will miss the game, although the pair are not expected to be sidelined for too long. Youngster Charlie Clough has joined Blue Square Bet Premier side Bath on a month's loan and midfielder Stuart Campbell will not be risked despite returning to training following a hamstring problem. Steven Gillespie could return to the Colchester starting line-up. The striker had scored four goals in his last six games but suffered a hamstring injury a fortnight ago. However, Gillespie returned as a substitute during the 2-1 defeat at Plymouth on Saturday and boss John Ward may now hand him a start. The U's are still without defenders Pat Baldwin (Achilles), Brian Wilson and Magnus Okuonghae (both ankle). Okuonghae is poised to have an operation on his ankle which will rule him out for the rest of the season. Midfielder John-Joe O'Toole is back in training after 10 months out with a cruciate injury but will not be risked just yet.
