Burton made it three wins on the bounce for the first time in the Football League as they beat Barnet 2-0 to stay among the play-off contenders.
Paul Peschisolido's side went ahead in the eighth minute when Jacques Maghoma squeezed home a shot from the edge of the area after a neat link-up with Richard Walker.
Full-back Aaron Webster had a goal disallowed and winger Jimmy Phillips fired over as the home side promised more goals.
But it was Barnet who dominated the latter stages of the first half, with Joe Tabiri's first touch letting him down as the equaliser beckoned from an Albert Jarrett cross.
After a spell of Barnet pressure, Burton came back strongly with Michael Simpson twice failing to make most of chances of created by Walker.
The home team finally made the points safe in the 78th minute when full-back Ryan Austin's 35-yard free-kick was deflected past Cole.
