Carlisle v Luton preview
Last Updated: 20/04/18 11:39am
Carlisle will check on Kelvin Etuhu prior to their home game with Luton.
The midfielder has been out since February but returned to training last weekend so could be back in Keith Curle's fold. Nicky Adams (knee) and Jason Kennedy (pelvis) are long-term absentees who will not play again this season.
The U's are six points off the play-off places with just three games remaining.
Luton will guarantee promotion if they are victorious. A point would be enough if Exeter fail to beat Crawley, while a Grecians defeat would send the Hatters up regardless of their result.
Scott Cuthbert (groin) is back in training so could return but Lawson D'Ath (knee) is out. Midfielder Luke Berry's season is over after he fractured his leg and dislocated his ankle last month.
Carlisle are winless in their last four games against Luton in League Two (D2 L2), failing to score in each of the previous two meetings between the two sides.
The Hatters have lost just one of their last nine away games against Carlisle in the Football League (W5 D3).
Five of Carlisle's last seven matches in League Two have been drawn (W1 L1). In fact, they have only lost one of their last 11 such matches (W5 D5).
Luton have won three consecutive matches in League Two, and could win four in a row for the first time since October, which was their best winning run of the season to date.
The Hatters became the first side of the 72 in the EFL to score 90 league goals this season with their 3-1 win over Crewe last time out. No side has scored 90+ goals in a single season in the fourth tier and failed to get promoted since Swansea City in the 1976-77 campaign.
