Leigh Griffiths scored his 11th goal of the season to give Celtic a 1-0 win over Hamilton - their 10th straight victory in the Scottish Premiership.
The Scotland striker prised open a tight Accies defence after 36 minutes and found the net after being set up by strike partner Moussa Dembele.
Both players missed further opportunities to put the game beyond doubt but Brendan Rodgers' side remain unbeaten domestically and moved 11 points clear of second-placed Rangers with two games in hand.
Accies had drawn their previous five games and set out to try and claim a similar result while Rodgers started with three at the back.
Former Celtic man Massimo Donati headed a rare Accies chance into the hands of goalkeeper Craig Gordon, before Celtic defender Jozo Simunovic nodded a Patrick Roberts cross over the bar at the other end.
The visitors' good defensive work was undone when a Tom Rogic pass found Dembele and, as Hamilton keeper Gary Woods advanced, he squared for Griffiths to tap home the opener.
Moments later Griffiths scarpered clear of the Lanarkshire defence again but screwed his shot wide of the far post before crossing to Dembele just before the break but the France U21 international missed the target.
Hamilton could only manage speculative long-range shots at Gordon, most of them off-target, as Griffiths skied a Roberts cut-back over the bar just after the interval.
As the chances mounted up, Dembele had a thundering drive saved by Woods before Mackay-Steven missed a cross from Roberts, and then Rogic flashed a 25-yard drive just past the post with 15 minutes left.
