Dundee United squeezed into round five of the Scottish Cup after a hard-fought 1-0 win over Clyde at Broadwood Stadium.
The Scottish First Division side began brightly and enjoyed the better of the early chances.
Despite failing on capitalise on this pressure, Clyde continued to make life difficult for their SPL counterparts throughout the first-half and would have been hopeful of pulling off an upset when the sides went in goalless at half-time.
United came out stronger after the break though and Willo Flood almost gave the visitors lead just a couple of minutes into the second period.
Colin Hendry's side did finally succomb on 57 minutes when Barry Robson's 35-yard effort flew into the top corner past a helpless David Hutton.
Clyde pushed hard for an equaliser and gave their illustrious opponents a bit of scare towards the end, but they were unable to break through a resolute United rearguard and eventually it was Craig Levein's side which progressed through to an away date with St Mirren in the next round.
