Colchester boss John McGreal will be without suspended goalkeeper Dillon Barnes for the visit of promotion-chasing MK Dons.
Barnes was shown a red card during the 1-1 draw at Yeovil on Easter Monday, so starts a three-match ban. With Rene Gilmartin carrying a knee problem, 22-year-old Ethan Ross could deputise, while Bailey Vose has been recalled from his loan spell at Dartford as cover.
Left-back Kane Vincent-Young will be assessed on an abdominal problem. The U's, two points off the play-offs, will also be missing captain Luke Prosser (knee) plus midfielders Harry Pell (hamstring) and Brandon Comley (knee).
MK Dons are still in the hunt for automatic promotion as they chase down a top-three finish. Manager Paul Tisdale reported no fresh injury concerns following the 1-1 draw at home against Port Vale on Easter Monday.
Defender George Williams is fit again after his long-term hamstring injury and came off the bench for the closing stages. Jordan Moore-Taylor, Mathieu Baudry, Mitch Hancox, Baily Cargill and Joe Walsh are all out for the rest of the season.
Colchester have won just two of their last 11 league games against MK Dons (D2 L7), although one of those did come in this season's reverse fixture (1-0 in December 2018).
MK Dons have never previously lost home and away fixtures against Colchester in a single Football League campaign.
Colchester have lost three of their last four home league games, as many as they had in their previous 15 home games in League Two (W8 D4).
MK Dons have won five of their last seven away games in League Two (L2), averaging two goals per game in this time (14 in total).
MK Dons' Kieran Agard has been directly involved in six of his side's last eight away goals in League Two (5 goals, 1 assist). He has scored 11 league goals this year; only Bury's Nicky Maynard has scored more in 2019 in the fourth tier (12).
