David Perkins' strike helped Colchester to claim a 3-2 win in a thrilling contest with struggling Swindon.
Colchester were ahead after only 48 seconds through Clive Platt, who headed in Simon Hackney's cross from the edge of the penalty area.
But Swindon were back on level terms seven minutes before the break through leading goalscorer Simon Cox, who scored from the penalty spot after Chris Coyne had tripped Billy Paynter in the area.
The Us restored their lead on the stroke of half-time after Platt headed in his second from Kem Izzet's lofted ball into the area.
But Swindon equalised again midway through the second half, Hal Robson-Kanu drilling a low shot through a crowd of bodies and in from the edge of the area, following Michael Timlin's free-kick.
But with 18 minutes to go, Swindon's defence failed to deal adequately with substitute Anthony Wordsworth's low cross and Perkins gleefully fired in off the post from eight yards for the Us' winner.
