Sky Blues and Blades could be unchanged

Coventry boss Chris Coleman and Sheffield United counterpart Kevin Blackwell are expected to name unchanged sides. The Sky Blues halted a run of two successive defeats when they claimed a point from Saturday's 1-1 draw against Bristol City, but have not won in the league since the second weekend of the season. Blackwell's Blades secured their second away win of the campaign at Derby on Saturday and he is unlikely to tinker with a winning formula. Coleman has no fresh injury concerns and could well keep faith with the players on duty against the Robins. Leon Best scored the Sky Blues' first goal for 297 minutes at the weekend and he should again partner Clinton Morrison in attack.

Sidelined

Left-back Patrick van Aanholt remains sidelined for around three weeks with a groin strain, meaning the experienced Marcus Hall should continue in defence. Midfielder David Bell (ankle), defenders James McPake (shoulder) and Elliott Ward and goalkeeper Danny Ireland (emergency bowel surgery) remain long-term absentees. Although Blackwell conceded one unnamed player had sustained a slight ankle injury against the Rams, it is unlikely to affect team selection for the clash at the Ricoh Arena. Summer signing Ched Evans started on the substitutes' bench on Saturday after returning from midweek international duty with Wales and will be hoping to play a bigger role. Blackwell has no other new injury or suspension problems as his side approach the second of three matches inside seven days. The Blades take on city rivals Sheffield Wednesday at Bramall Lane on Friday night.
