Crewe Alexandra will be without the suspended Billy Jones as Peterborough United are set to stick with a winning formula.
Jones was sent off following a collision with Rovers striker Bas Savage in the 2-0 defeat at Prenton Park on Friday night and the defender has failed in his appeal against the dismissal.
Crewe could be short of defenders as Danny Woodards (hamstring) and Dennis Lawrence (ribs) are facing fitness tests after sustaining injuries at Tranmere. Chris McCready and Julien Baudet are still struggling with hamstring problems.
However, there is some relief at the back for first-team coach Steve Holland as George Abbey is back in contention after illness.
Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson is poised to name an unchanged starting line-up for his side's trip to face Crewe.
Striker Aaron Mclean will keep his place in attack alongside Craig Mackail-Smith after he put recent problems with a dislocated elbow behind him to score twice in a 4-0 win over Huddersfield.
Sergio Torres is pushing for a place after he impressed from the bench against the Terriers following his comeback from a knee injury.
Dean Keates (knee) and Chris Westwood (calf) are both still doubtful for Posh having missed out in recent weeks while Jamie Day (back) is a long-term absentee.
