Mid-table neighbours meet at Gresty Road

Crewe welcome back Ashley Westwood for the visit of near-neighbours Shrewsbury on Saturday. The versatile 20-year-old has served a three-match suspension and is likely to go straight back into the starting line-up. Defender Carl Martin and leading scorer Calvin Zola could also be in line for recalls to the side. Martin marked his return to the squad with a late goal in the 2-1 defeat at Cheltenham on Easter Monday. Zola, who has scored 16 goals this season, also made his comeback as a substitute in that game following hamstring and ankle ligament injuries.

    Painful

Defender Patrick Ada and Harry Worley and young midfielder Danny Shelley are also available should boss Dario Gradi wish to make any more changes. Shrewsbury are sweating over the fitness of defender Kelvin Langmead ahead of the short trip to the Alexandra Stadium. Langmead missed Monday's 1-0 home defeat to Notts County - Town's sixth successive loss - and is still struggling with a painful rib injury. Meanwhile, it has emerged fringe striker Jake Robinson may not play again this season as he looks to overcome ligament damage. Steve Leslie picked up a tight hamstring and did not play for the reserves in midweek but has trained and should be okay, as should fellow midfielder Benjamin Van den Broek having also picked up a similar problem while playing for the second string. Following their dismal run, Shrews are now nine points adrift of the play-off places with 18 left to play for.
