Derby v Preston preview

Gary Rowett has promised changes to his Derby side after Saturday's disappointing defeat to Wolves.
Rowett felt his side lacked energy at Pride Park and could consider Ikechi Anya, Craig Bryson and David Nugent from the start against Preston. Midfielder Tom Huddlestone will be assessed after struggling with a groin niggle last time out and could drop out if it has not fully healed.
Record signing Matej Vydra missed out last time with a hamstring problem and may not be ready.
Ben Pearson will be missing for Preston due to suspension. The tough-tackling midfielder was dismissed against Leeds at the weekend and will now serve a one-match ban.
Manager Alex Neil has also confirmed John Welsh (calf) is still not ready to return to action while back-up goalkeeper Declan Rudd has a thigh issue. They join club captain Tom Clarke (Achilles) on the sidelines, though Josh Harrop (calf) was able to make his debut off the bench at Elland Road and could have a bigger role.
Derby have lost just one of their last 15 Championship contests against Preston (W7 D7), with the Rams currently on an eight-game unbeaten run (W5 D3).
Preston haven't picked up all three points away at Derby in the league since September 2002, failing to win on their last nine visits (D5 L4).
Derby County (W0 D1 L1) have failed to win either of their opening two league games to a Championship season for the third campaign running.
Preston are currently on a run of 12 away league games without a win, dating back to January 2nd vs Burton Albion (D6 L6).
Derby haven't exactly got off to a great start. Gary Rowett is still finding out a lot about his team after a few changes over the summer to his squad.
Preston got a great draw at Leeds on Saturday after playing the last half hour with 10 men, and I fancy them for another point here.
Prutton predicts: 1-1 (5/1 with Sky Bet)
