Derby will try to maintain their impressive recent form against Rotherham but they must do so without Tom Ince.

Ince limped off with an ankle injury during the win at Huddersfield last weekend and the forward has yet to resume training, meaning he is also a doubt for the visit of QPR on Tuesday.

Jeff Hendrick should be fit now after missing two matches due to illness while fellow central midfielder Craig Bryson could make his long-awaited return to the squad after nearly three months out with a knee injury.

Bryson made his comeback for the Under-21s on Monday in a game which also saw the return to action of Jake Buxton, although the centre-half is not yet ready for first-team selection as he continues to build up his fitness following back surgery.

Rotherham boss Neil Redfearn has received mixed news ahead of the trip, with Joe Newell and Danny Ward back in contention but defender Farrend Rawson missing out.

Newell (foot) and Ward (back) both played for the reserves in midweek and came through with no ill-effects.

Rawson is on loan from opponents Derby and will not play as part of the arrangement between the clubs.

Midfielder Lee Frecklington is "desperate" to return from a calf problem, according to Redfearn, and he is expected to return to training on Monday.
