    England are in action again on Tuesday evening as they play France at Wembley in friendly expected to be highly charged with emotion.

    The game was thrown into doubt after Friday's terror attacks in Paris but though the FA offered to postpone the fixture the French Football Federation confirmed they wanted it to go ahead.

    Both sides will remember the victims in a show of unity, with England fans encouraged to join in with the French national anthem..

    England suffered their first defeat in 15 games against Spain last week after their perfect 100 per cent record in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, while France's 2-0 win against Germany at the Stade de France - a venue that was targeted in the attacks - was their fifth in a row.

    England have failed to beat France in the last six attempts stretching back to June 1997.

    Roy Hodgson is missing 17 players missing for Tuesday's clash, Michael Carrick a fresh absentee after he was stretchered off with suspected ligament damage in Friday's 2-0 defeat to Spain.

    Jamie Vardy is still struggling from a knock to his hip while Fabian Delph was also absent from England training on Monday morning just weeks after making his return from a hamstring injury.

    Ryan Mason has been called into the squad along with Jesse Lingard, while Wayne Rooney is expected to start after coming on as a substitute in Alicante.
