Exeter v Wycombe preview

Colchester defender Pat Baldwin

Team news for Tuesday's League One clash between Exeter City and Wycombe Wanderers at St James Park.

Centre-back Pat Baldwin is hoping to make his Exeter debut following his loan move from Colchester. The defender was an unused substitute as the Grecians lost 2-1 to Preston at the weekend. Baldwin's signing appeased the loss of defender Danny Coles who was ruled out for the rest of the campaign following a freak training ground collision with goalkeeper Artur Krysiak which saw him fracture his spine. Midfielder David Noble returns after completing the final game of his three-match ban. Defender Billy Jones missed Saturday's defeat with a thigh problem and is likely to miss out again while Richard Duffy is still recovering from a groin operation. Midfielder Scott Bennett will also miss the rest of the season following a hamstring tear. Meanwhile, defender Danny Foster is a doubt for Wycombe ahead of the clash. Foster suffered a shoulder injury during the 4-1 win at Bury on Saturday. The full-back was forced off at half-time and is set to have a scan to determine the extent of the problem. If Foster fails to recover from the injury his place in the side is likely to go to Grant Basey, who replaced him at Gigg Lane. Young striker Matt McClure (hamstring) and experienced midfielder Chris Hackett (groin) returned from injury as substitutes at the weekend and will be pushing for recalls. On-loan defender Louis Laing and veteran midfielder Gareth Ainsworth are also options for boss Gary Waddock.
