Trapattoni has batted away talk over his position, saying he has no plans to step down from his role and that he is focused on guiding Ireland to the World Cup in Brazil.
The mood inside the camp has not been helped by a reported bust-up between Stephen Kelly and Trapattoni's assistant Marco Tardelli. Trapattoni had to intervene and persuade Kelly to travel to Torshavn after he reportedly threatened not to board the flight.
