John Sheridan's reign at Fleetwood ended on a high with a well-deserved 2-0 win over Walsall.
A draw with Bradford saw the Saddlers secure their League One status in midweek so with both sides safe from the drop, this game had a pre-season friendly feel in the basking Fylde coast sun.
There was pride to play for, though, and the Fleetwood players stepped up to the plate to ensure Sheridan's spell ended with a victory.

Madden was back to his poaching best, gobbling up Mark Gillespie's parry from a Kyle Dempsey strike that was just too hot to handle in the 45th minute.
