Arsenal U21s secured their place in the second round of the Checkatrade Trophy with a 3-1 win over League Two side Forest Green.

Joe Willock opened the scoring for the Gunners from the penalty spot in the 41st minute after Bukaya Saka was fouled by George Williams.

Two minutes later Willock scored his second of the evening, finishing well after latching onto Saka's inch-perfect through ball.

The hosts pulled one back on the hour mark through substitute Dayle Grubb but Arsenal secured victory in the 85th minute through Tyreece John-Jules.

Leicester came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at Rochdale in Group B.

Calvin Andrew and Jimmy McNulty scored for Rochdale, but Alex Pascanu and Ryan Loft replied for Leicester.

Goalkeeper Rhys Davies then saved twice in the shootout as Leicester won 4-3 to earn an extra point.
