Delroy Facey came back to haunt former club Gillingham as Notts County came from two goals down to extend their unbeaten league run. Gary Mulligan and Nicky Southall scored either side of break to put the Gills on course for a fifth straight home win in the league but Richard Butcher hit straight back before Facey, who had his contract terminated by Gillingham in the summer, scored a brilliant individual goal to make it 11 league games without defeat for the Magpies. Adam Miller had a header cleared off the line for the home side on 23 minutes but Gillingham did take the lead when Southall's free-kick looped up off the wall and Mulligan bundled home. Gillingham doubled their advantage on 63 minutes when the dangerous Andy Barcham crossed for Southall to sidefoot home. County hit straight back and after Gillingham failed to deal with Matt Hamshaw's freekick, Butcher precisely slotted past Simon Royce. The comeback was complete as Facey muscled his way past John Nutter before firing into the top corner with the outside of his foot.
