      Grimsby v Exeter preview

Grimsby will have on-loan midfielder Elliot Embleton back from England Under-20 duty when they take on Exeter.

Fellow loanee Luke Hendrie is likely to feature, as is Wes Thomas after both missed the Checkatrade Trophy clash with Doncaster because of illness.

The Mariners boss revealed the only players not currently training are Harry Davis, Harry Cardwell and Elliot Whitehouse. Max Wright, on-loan at Boston, remains sidelined with a heel injury.

Exeter will be without Chiedozie Ogbene for the trip. The winger has returned to Brentford after sustaining an injury. He has had an X-ray but could have a further scan next week. Craig Woodman got through an hour of a reserve-team outing on Tuesday but this game is likely to come too soon for the defender.

Australian defender Jimmy Oates is expected to travel with the squad. Troy Brown and Alex Hartridge remain long-term absentees for the Grecians.
