New loan signings Josh Magennis and Arnaud Mendy go straight into Grimsby's squad for the visit of Rochdale.
Derby midfielder Mendy, 19, has joined on an initial one-month deal, as has Cardiff City striker Magennis.
Magennis, a Northern Ireland Under-21 international, has arrived at Blundell Park to pep up a forward line which is currently short of the services of Adam Proudlock and Nathan Jarman due to injury, and Barry Conlon through suspension.
Proudlock is sidelined after suffering ankle ligament damage in the home defeat to Burton Albion last weekend, while Jarman broke a bone in his foot during training on Monday. Both players are expected to be out for around a month, while Conlon serves the third game of a four-match ban.
Frenchman Mendy, meanwhile, will bolster a midfield still missing Danny Boshell, who sits out the final game of his two-match suspension.
The Mariners have won just once at home this season and another defeat could see them finish the weekend inside the bottom two of the table.
Rochdale boss Keith Hill will check on the fitness of defender Scott Wiseman.
The right-back picked up a knock during last weekend's 2-1 home victory over Barnet and will be assessed closer to kick-off.
Matt Flynn is ready to deputise if required while Craig Dawson and Nathan Stanton are set to continue their partnership at the heart of defence.
Hill has options on the wing with Will Buckley, Simon Whaley, Joe Thompson and Adam Rundle all pushing for starts.
Chris O'Grady and Chris Dagnall look set to start up front again, but defender Rory McArdle is still out with a dislocated shoulder and midfielder Ciaran Toner remains a long-term absentee with a shin injury.
