Play-off chasing Burton fought back from two goals down to claim a thrilling 4-3 victory over Hereford at Edgar Street.
The Brewers opened the scoring when Shaun Harrad turned a cross from Greg Pearson beyond Adam Bartlett after just nine minutes.
But the Bulls levelled matters after 28 minutes when Matt Done played the ball onto Gavin McCallum, who in turn flicked it on for Marc Pugh to fire home with the aid of a deflection.
Bartlett was on hand to deny Cleveland Taylor before Hereford went in front as Kenny Lunt fired home a 25-yard drive into the roof of the net.
James McQuilken then increased the Bulls' advantage when he scored from close range after 59 minutes.
But Burton pulled one back through Taylor's long-range effort a minute later, while Aaron Webster then headed home Taylor's free-kick to level after 66 minutes, before being dismissed for a second bookable offence in stoppage time.
Yet there was still room for Tony James to complete the remarkable turnaround in the 96th minute when he got his head to Keith Gilroy's cross.
