Ainsworth extends Bulls stay, two banned for Rovers

Hereford United can call on Lionel Ainsworth for the game against Tranmere Rovers, who have two players suspended. Ainsworth will continue on the flank for the Bulls after extending his loan spell from Championship side Watford. Midfielder Toumani Diagouraga (groin), striker Steve Guinan and defender Josh Gowling all went into last Saturday's game at Huddersfield having got over knocks, but none of them suffered any ill-effects and should again all feature. Midfielder Clint Easton (calf) remains doubtful while striker Moses Ashikodi (hamstring) is close to a first-team return, but manager Graham Turner may not include him in his plans until next year. Karl Broadhurst, Robbie Threlfall, Nick Chadwick, Simon Johnson and Sam Gwynne will all be hoping to start having made the bench against Huddersfield.

Tranmere news

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore will be without defender Ben Chorley and attacking midfielder Ian Moore for the trip to Edgar Street. The pair must serve one-match suspensions after collecting five bookings and Rovers could also be missing two players through injury. On-loan Middlesbrough youngster John Johnson is doubtful with a thigh strain and striker Chris Greenacre could miss out due to an ongoing back problem and a sore foot. Edrissa Sonko, Luke Waterfall, Godwin Antwi and Gareth Edds are all hoping to start, if Moore is pressed into several changes. Craig Curran (stomach) and Danny Holmes (leg) are still sidelined, while Mark Wilson has returned to Doncaster after his loan spell with Tranmere.
