Huddersfield v Brentford preview

Image: Rhodes: Should return for Terriers

Team news for Saturday's League One clash between Huddersfield and Brentford at the Galpharm Stadium.

Huddersfield's leading goalscorer Jordan Rhodes is expected to return to their starting line-up. The 22-goal striker stepped off the substitutes' bench in last week's win at Brighton but is likely to be recalled as manager Lee Clark reverts back to a 4-4-2 formation. Clark has no new injury or suspension problems as Town look to extend their club-record unbeaten league run to 25 matches but he must decide who will make way should Rhodes return to partner Benik Afobe up front. Winger Anthony Pilkington (leg/ankle), midfielder Damien Johnson (knee ligaments), defender Liam Ridehalgh (foot) and goalkeeper Alex Smithies (knee) all remain sidelined. Ridehalgh, initially expected to miss five games, could return for the play-offs. Charlie MacDonald will not be risked despite Brentford's injury problems. The 10-goal striker has been sidelined for two months after damaging ankle ligaments against Brighton in March. MacDonald returned to full training on Wednesday but boss Nicky Forster has still ruled him out of the trip north. Gary Alexander is out with a knee injury so Lewis Grabban and Jeffrey Schlupp, Forster's only two fit strikers, will be paired up front again. Craig Woodman (metatarsal) and Pim Balkestein (ankle) are set to miss out again but fellow defender Leon Legge could return after a groin injury. Youngster Simon Moore continues in goal with regular number one Richard Lee still on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.
