Huddersfield v Bury preview

Image: Robinson: Set for Terriers debut

Team news ahead of Saturday's League One clash between Huddersfield Town and Bury at The Galpharm Stadium.

Huddersfield could hand debuts to six players as Lee Clark selects from a full-strength squad. Summer signings Calum Woods (Dunfermline), Oscar Gobern (Southampton), Donal McDermott (Manchester City), Tommy Miller (Sheff Wed), Liam Cooper (Hull) and Anton Robinson (Bournemouth) are all in contention for their first competitive appearances for the Terriers. Winger Danny Ward and midfielder Damien Johnson are also poised for their second debuts after turning loan moves into permanent deals over the summer. Defender Woods is hoping to start at right-back, with Cooper alongside skipper Peter Clarke at the centre of defence. McDermott and Ward are expected to start in midfield, with Gobern, Miller and Johnson all vying for starts alongside them. Robinson, signed this week, has not featured for Huddersfield during pre-season and may have to settle for a place on the substitutes' bench. Richie Barker could hand debuts to his two summer signings. Former Everton trainee Mark Hughes arrived from North Queensland Fury on a free transfer while rookie striker Mark Cullen has joined on loan from Hull until December 31. However, former Huddersfield defender Efe Sodje picked up an injury in last week's 2-0 friendly defeat against Bolton. Midfielders Peter Sweeney and Damien Mozika are also nursing groin injuries. All three players are set to be assessed and Barker is still trying to add more new faces to his squad. "I am still hopeful of bringing in one or two players, permanently or on loan, within the next couple of weeks," said Barker.
