Huddersfield v Oldham preview

Joe Skarz and Michael Flynn may be added to the Terriers squad, but Oldham have no back-up keeper.

Pair could be added to Terriers squad, while Crossley still out for Latics

Huddersfield manager Lee Clark could add Joe Skarz and Michael Flynn to his squad for the league clash against Oldham. Clark has no new injury or suspension problems as his side look to make further ground on the top six with an eighth win in nine league matches. Defender Skarz has rejoined full training following an ankle injury, while midfielder Flynn has returned from a five-game loan spell with Darlington where he regained match fitness after injury. Clark is expected to retain his 4-4-2 formation for the Roses clash with Keigan Parker and Phil Jevons up front and Danny Cadamarteri out wide in midfield. Veteran forward Andy Booth is some way off a return to first-team action following surgery on his back.

Latics news

Oldham manager John Sheridan will once again be without a second-choice goalkeeper for the trip. Current number one Greg Fleming will continue between the sticks but there will be no back-up on the bench as veteran keeper Mark Crossley remains sidelined with back and hamstring injuries. The double injury is likely to rule Crossley out until March and has made signing a new goalkeeper a top priority for boss Sheridan in January. Sheridan will also be without Dutch centre-back Stefan Stam who sustained a calf injury on Boxing Day so Sean Gregan is likely to continue at the heart of the Latics defence. Kelvin Lomax will continue to fill in at left-back after on-loan Wolves defender Daniel Jones returned to his parent club for further treatment on his ankle injury last week. Craig Davies has returned from his loan spell at Stockport and will challenge Lee Hughes, Darren Byfield, Lewis Alessandra and Andy Liddell for a place in the Latics attack.
