Huddersfield v Tranmere preview

Strike duo struggle with injury

Huddersfield will be without strikers Andy Booth and Danny Cadamarteri, while Tranmere should have defender Ian Goodison available. Booth is struggling with a back complaint and Cadamarteri has still not shaken off a hamstring strain. Manager Stan Ternent started with Phil Jevons up front alongside on-loan Derby forward Liam Dickinson for last week's win at Cheltenham. But Keigan Parker impressed when he replaced Jevons early in the second half and could have done enough to earn his first league start. Jon Worthington, Jim Goodwin, Joe Skarz and Luke Beckett will all be hoping to play some part after staying on the bench at Cheltenham. But Ternent has no other new injury or suspension problems and is unlikely to make further changes as his side look to build on their first league win.

Tranmere news

Experienced centre-back Goodison played 90 minutes for Jamaica in a World Cup qualifier against Honduras on Wednesday night after shaking off a thigh injury he sustained against Mexico in last Saturday's 3-0 defeat. Goodison's return would be a welcome boost to a Rovers outfit still seeking their first away points of the season. Moore expects to be without Gareth Edds, who is struggling to shake off a groin injury, as well as Godwin Antwi, who is still nursing an ankle strain ahead of the visit to the Galpharm Stadium. On-loan Stoke youngster Ryan Shotton will line up at right-back or centre-back after an impressive display in last weekend's home defeat against Oldham.
