Leicester v Tranmere preview

Image: Pearson: Foxes are going well

Leicester have adapted quickly to life in League One, while Tranmere suffered an early stutter.

Can Rovers stop the Foxes stealing the points?

Leicester have adapted quickly to life in League One, while Tranmere suffered an early stutter. The Foxes are third after two games, well placed to mount the title tilt many are expecting. Rovers suffered league and cup defeats before they finally got going, but a 1-0 win against Hartlepool last week should have repaired any shattered confidence.

Foxes unchanged

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson will select from an unchanged squad for Saturday's game. The Foxes suffered no new injury concerns in the goalless draw at Stockport last week, so Joe Mattock, Patrick Kisnorbo and Stephen Clemence remain the only absentees. Left-back Mattock faces up to eight weeks out after suffering ankle ligament damage in the Carling Cup victory over the same opposition 10 days ago. Fellow defender Kisnorbo is still sidelined with the cruciate knee ligament injury he suffered towards the end of last season. Midfielder Clemence is continuing his recovery from the ankle problem that prematurely ended his campaign last time around.
Moore concern
Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore will check on the fitness of his son Ian for the trip to the Walkers Stadium. Much-travelled striker Moore has been struck by a viral infection which could force him to miss the contest. But Rovers have no other injury concerns as they seek to build on last weekend's home win. Manager Moore said: "Ian has a viral infection that seems to be going around. He's got to be a big doubt, but apart from that everyone wants to play." Moore admits his side are yet to find their form this season, but added: "We know we're not firing on all cylinders at the moment, but it is coming. We've seen a lot of positive signs."
