Steven N’Zonzi scored his first goal for Sevilla but his side were held 1-1 by Levante at the Estadi Ciutat de Valencia.
The result means both sides remain without a win in the league this season.
Former Stoke City man N'Zonzi gave his team the lead on 12 minutes, powerfully striking home an effort from the edge of the area.
Levante were always in the game despite falling behind but Jose Mari failed to finish off some flowing moves through the Sevilla defence.
The hosts were rewarded for their enthusiastic attacking play on 60 minutes when Victor Camarasa headed home to draw the sides level.
Sevilla's Coke and Ciro Immobile went close late on for Sevilla but the spoils were to be shared.
