Mansfield will check on Mitch Rose and Darius Henderson ahead of the visit of Colchester.

Midfielder Rose and striker Henderson both took part in training on Thursday following injuries and they will be assessed on Friday morning.

Striker Pat Hoban has done a light training session and is progressing well from his groin problem while defender Kyle Howkins (hamstring) is still building up his fitness.

Defenders George Taft and Corbin Shires remain sidelined with their respective hamstring and knee injuries.

Colchester striker Chris Porter is still sidelined for Colchester.

Porter has not played since October 29 due to a hamstring injury and the 32-year-old still needs more time to recover.

Sammie Szmodics is back in training and could be available after the midfielder had an injection on a foot injury he sustained last month.
