Lions miss duo; Mutch in Blues squad

Millwall host Birmingham City in what looks set to prove a feisty FA Cup third-round fixture. Fresh after their first away victory in the Premier League, Birmingham head to the Den looking for more away success as Alex McLeish targets another healthy cup run. Blues, who are in the semi-finals of the Carling Cup, journey to a ground where they have not lost in four trips, while the Premier League side are unbeaten in seven against Saturday's opponents. Millwall are faring well in the Championship this term and have recorded eight games without loss ahead of this weekend's contest. And Kenny Jackett will be hoping the Lions can continue their unblemished record against City and record a first FA Cup victory over top-flight opposition since 1985.

Team news

The hosts will be without Josh McQuoid and Alan Dunne when they host Birmingham in the FA Cup. Striker McQuoid this week made his loan move from Bournemouth a permanent switch but he is cup-tied after scoring a hat-trick for the Cherries against Tranmere in the first round. Dunne serves the final game of a three-match ban following his recent red card against Leicester. Skipper Paul Robinson is set to return to the back four having proved his fitness with a substitute appearance against Derby on Monday following a hamstring injury. Fellow centre-half Danny Shittu has also been out with a hamstring problem and will be checked over. Forward Shaun Batt remains a long-term absentee with a cruciate injury. Birmingham, meanwhile, have included promising midfielder Jordon Mutch in their squad for the clash at Millwall. Mutch impressed during a loan spell at Watford during the first half of the season and Blues want him to sign a new contract. Midfielder Lee Bowyer will serve the second game of a three-match ban.
