Play-off hopefuls go head-to-head

League One play-off hopefuls MK Dons and Tranmere go head-to-head without a number of key players. Dons boss Roberto Di Matteo will be without two men through suspension. Willy Gueret will serve the second game of his three-match ban after he was sent off against Cheltenham, so on-loan Derby goalkeeper Lewis Price will keep his place between the sticks after an impressive debut against Leyton Orient. Di Matteo will also be without on-loan Chelsea defender Shaun Cummings after he was sent off in the 2-1 win at Brisbane Road and will serve a one-match suspension. Striker Aaron Wilbraham (ankle) and midfielder Florian Sturm (groin) have stepped up their return from recent injuries in training, but the best they can hope for is a place on the bench. Winger Craig Dobson is out with a stress fracture while defender Danny Swailes is out until the New Year as he continues his rehabilitation from an operation on his Achilles.

Tranmere news

Meanwhile, Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore has a triple defensive headache ahead of the game. Left-back Andy Taylor was sent off during Tuesday's goalless draw at Stockport and is suspended. Moore could also be without centre-backs Ian Goodison and Ben Chorley after both men sustained injuries at Edgeley Park. Goodison was forced off in the closing stages due to a hamstring injury and Chorley also picked up a knock which has made him a doubt for the clash with Roberto Di Matteo's side. Rovers hope both players will be passed fit but Moore could turn to Gareth Edds or youngster Aaron Cresswell if required. The Prenton Park outfit have kept a clean sheet in each of their last four outings.
